TREQ was founded in the summer of 2020 by Jim, Rick and Tim. We all have a love for cars and racing. Jim hasn’t missed any of the last 300 F1 races, Tim builds and casts his own 2-stroke engine blocks and all three of us step in a go-kart regularly. We’ve met during our study at the HAN University of Applied Sciences in Automotive Engineering, in which we all graduated.
While still very young at 33, Jim has been playing racing simulators for most of his life. Starting of with Geoff Hammond’s ‘Grand Prix 2’ when he was 8, and he hasn’t quit since. Over the years he’s had numerous racing wheels, pedals and rigs, playing various racing titles on consoles and PC. We bet he can tell you a thing or two about sim racing.
In the summer of 2023 Tim and Rick shifted focus to our B2B operations, while Niels joined his forces with Treq. Niels had lots of experience with managing and growing a production company, and was a sim racer at Treq’s eSports team from the get go. Having raced with Treq on the virtual playgrounds for almost 3 years, he is now involved in our production and development processes.
WHY DID WE START TREQ?
Our goal is to bring both fun and passion to the sim racing community with a lot of in-house developed products. We believe we can make a difference in sim racing with both our current and future products. Together with great quality, personal service and fast deliveries.
